The energy storage inverter PCS is a key equipment in the energy storage system. It is a device used for converting and controlling electrical energy, and is a power electronic device used to store and release electrical energy. It is responsible for controlling the charging and discharging of batteries, and performing AC/DC conversion, directly supplying power to AC loads in the absence of a power grid. The following are the fault phenomena and solutions of energy storage inverters:
1、Bus overvoltage or undervoltage:The phenomenon of bus overvoltage or undervoltage in the inverter is that the battery stack voltage is too low. If it is caused by misoperation and over discharge, wait for the battery voltage to rise and restart. If the undervoltage protection parameters of the inverter are set incorrectly, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer for modification.
2、Insulation fault: The insulation fault of the inverter first needs to check whether the insulation detector is working properly and whether the wiring is loose. If the insulation resistance of the power line is too low, it is necessary to use an insulation tester to test the power line.
3、Phase frequency fault: If there is a fault in the phase frequency of the inverter, it is necessary to check whether the three-phase voltage source is abnormal.
4、AC/DC circuit breaker failure: If the AC/DC circuit breakers of the inverter fail, it is necessary to check whether the circuit breaker is closed.
5、The combiner cabinet is closed, but the inverter cannot be turned on: The phenomenon of the combiner cabinet being closed, but the inverter cannot be turned on, is because BMS has a program to determine that more than 5 clusters of batteries need to be closed before the inverter can be turned on.
6、Communication failure between upper and lower computers: The communication between the upper and lower computers of the inverter has failed. First, check if the touch screen IP address conflicts, and if the PCS and ARM addresses conflict. The second issue is whether the network cable between the touch screen and the control board is connected.
7、The touch screen can be powered on separately, but it does not light up during operation: The touch screen of the inverter can be powered on separately, but it does not light up during operation because the DC side of the inverter needs to be powered on to operate the touch screen. Use a multimeter to check whether the DC side is powered on and whether the UPS is turned on.
In summary, to eliminate faults in energy storage inverters, it is necessary to first understand the performance characteristics of the inverter, and combine them with related power equipment to eliminate them. Operators must have a certain level of electrical knowledge. For more detailed information on the fault phenomena and solutions of power equipment, please contact Sharp Lai .
