The nozzles in energy storage power station are mainly divided into several types, and the functions and installation precautions of each type of nozzle are different. The following are detailed classifications, functions, and installation precautions:
1、 Type and function of nozzle
1. Square copper alloy battery box nozzle, square aluminum alloy battery box nozzle, stainless steel integrated battery box nozzle: These nozzles are mainly used for extinguishing fires in energy storage power station battery boxes. By spraying water or other fire extinguishing media, these nozzles can quickly control the fire and prevent its spread.
2. Closed battery box nozzle: This type of nozzle is equipped with a closed nozzle glass ball, and its operating temperature is commonly 57 ℃/68 ℃. When the temperature inside the battery box reaches or exceeds the set value, the glass ball will break and the nozzle will automatically spray water to extinguish the fire.
3. Gas fire extinguishing nozzle: suitable for energy storage lithium battery systems, especially in scenarios that require fast response and precise control. For fire extinguishing and fire prevention, dry powder, foam, gas and other extinguishing agents are usually used. This type of sprinkler suppresses the fire source by releasing extinguishing gases (such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, etc.), which can quickly extinguish the fire in case of a fire, so as to achieve the purpose of extinguishing the fire and protect the safety of equipment and personnel.
4. Spray nozzle: used for spraying water or other liquids, commonly used for cooling equipment, controlling fire, cleaning equipment, etc., can reduce fire, lower temperature, and protect equipment.
5. Cooling nozzle: mainly used for cooling equipment, reducing temperature, usually using water or other cooling media, can prevent equipment from overheating and protect the normal operation of equipment.
6. Other types of nozzles: According to specific energy storage plant requirements, other types of nozzles can also be used, such as solvent nozzles, dry powder nozzles, etc., to meet specific fire extinguishing and prevention requirements.

2、 Installation precautions

1. Selection and layout: Select the appropriate nozzle type, model, and quantity based on the design requirements and fire protection requirements of the energy storage power station, combined with local environmental conditions and fire risks. When arranging, it should be ensured that the nozzles can effectively cover the areas where fires may occur, and the layout should be reasonable to avoid mutual interference between nozzles.
2. Installation location: The nozzle should be installed in a location that is easily accessible to the fire source and easy to maintain. Before installing the nozzle, it is necessary to ensure that the surrounding environment of the nozzle is clean and free of debris to avoid affecting the spraying effect of the nozzle. For the battery box nozzle, it should be installed above or on the side of the battery box, and ensure that the water spray can directly cover the battery cells. For gas fire extinguishing nozzles, they should be arranged reasonably according to the special characteristics and high energy density of the battery system. Determine the spacing and quantity of nozzles according to the actual situation and risk assessment, ensure uniform and effective coverage, and improve fire extinguishing effectiveness.
3. Connection and debugging: When installing the nozzle, attention should be paid to the correctness and reliability of the system connection. After installation, system debugging and testing should be carried out to ensure that the nozzle can work properly and respond to fire signals.
4. Temperature setting: Due to the large temperature fluctuations in the energy storage lithium battery system, temperature control areas should be set up according to the actual situation, and more temperature sensors and fire extinguishing nozzles should be installed in these areas to improve the response speed to fires.
5. Maintenance and upkeep: Regularly inspect, maintain, and upkeep the nozzle to ensure its normal operation and proper functioning at critical moments. For gas fire extinguishing nozzles, it is also necessary to regularly check the pressure and storage capacity of the extinguishing gas to ensure its effectiveness.
In energy storage power station, selecting the appropriate type, model, and quantity of nozzles, and installing and debugging them correctly, is the key to ensuring effective control of fires. At the same time, it can effectively improve the safety and fire extinguishing effect of energy storage power stations, and protect the safety of equipment and personnel. Therefore, strengthening maintenance and upkeep is also an important measure to ensure the long-term stable operation of the nozzle.  With the continuous development of energy storage power stations, more advanced nozzle technology and devices can be added to further enhance fire extinguishing capabilities and response speed.
